What is happiness ?
34-3 So when we got married, we didn't have nothing, nothing to go housekeeping. I think we had two or three dollars. So we rented a house; it cost us four dollars a month. It was a little, old two-room place. And someone give us an old folding bed. I wonder if anybody ever seen an old folding bed? And they gave us that. And I went down to Sears and Roebucks and got a little table with four chairs, and it–it wasn't painted, you know, and we got that on time. And so then I went over to Mr. Weber, a junk dealer, and bought a cooking stove. I paid seventy-five cents for it, and a dollar and something for grates to go in it. We set up housekeeping. I remember taking and painting a shamrock on the chairs, when I painted them. And, oh, we were happy though. We had one another, so that was all necessary. And God, by His mercy and His goodness, we was the happiest little couple could be on the earth.I found this; that happiness does not consist of how much of the world's goods you own, but how contented you are with the portion that's allotted to you. 34-5 And after while, God came down and blessed our little home; we had a little boy. His name was Billy Paul. He's in the service right now here. And a little later from then, about eleven months, He blessed us again with a little girl called Sharon Rose, taken from the Word of "The Rose of Sharon."
Why Money Doesn’t Buy Happiness
29-…Now, let's just take the armor of Christianity and see if it's supernatural: love, joy, peace, faith, long-suffering, meekness, gentleness, patience. Everything's supernatural. Love, go down to the drug store and buy me a quarter's worth of love. I need it. See, you couldn't do it. Buy me a dollar's worth of peace. You couldn't do it. See? Everything's supernatural. The whole armor of God is supernatural. His church is supernatural. It's not an organization. It's a supernatural body that men and women are born into by the Holy Spirit.

To be happy, do not add to your possessions, but subtract from your desires.
20…What we need today is not a lot of material things; we have that. We don't need greater churches; we don't need greater congregations. We don't need more on radio and on television. We don't need so many more of these things. But what we need today to be spiritual, is a person that will humble themselves before God if they haven't got a penny, and will pray till that spirit within them is satisfied with the goodness of God, and a revival takes place on the inside of their heart that changes their attitudes and atmosphere that they live in. 22 You might not have a pair of shoes on your feet. You might be dressed in rags, but something in your heart singing the melodies of God. I'd rather have it than all the money in the world. So you can't say that natural things is always the sign of God's blessing. David spoke that to the Lord, that he'd seen the wicked spread forth his–like a great bay tree. But God asked him, "Did you ever consider him at the end?" No matter how good of clothes we wear, how much we have to eat, that isn't what goes in the Presence of God. This body that we dwell in perishes regardless of how it's taken care of. But it's the soul that's in man; it's a condition of the spirit that moves into the Presence of the living God.
